Experience-driven expression through photography

At a core level I want to express the emotions I experience while connecting to the landscape, whether I’m discovering something exciting and dramatic or enjoying the quiet solitude of a familiar place. This drives my creativity.

These days I hike and camp any chance I get, trying to simply be in my naturally beautiful backyard while staying curious about the natural phenomena I encounter. I believe these experiences in nature, paired with maintaining an open mind, are key to knowing a place intimately. Intimate familiarity is an important part of my approach, and I hope it comes through in my images.

Before I got started in early 2020, none of this was something I associated with a craft known for its documentary applications. Since the pandemic, I have become intrigued by photography as an expressive medium.
