Thank you for visiting!
Thank you so much for making time to view my photos. I hope one or two encourage you to play outside, especially if it’s been a while and life has started to feel a bit flat.
If I could say I have a goal for my photography, I think that would be it.
Photographing nature near my home has been a real privilege and joy these last few years, and it’s done wonders for my mental health. I believe strongly that getting into nature can bring calm to a troubled mind.
Throughout my life, nature has helped me through some confusing and difficult times, so putting my experiences out there for the world to view (even in the form of images I’m proud to have made) isn’t always my first impulse when I get home from a hike or camp.
Sometimes, a photograph is deeply personal so publishing it can take a little courage. You might say, “But it’s just a picture of some leaves!” Sure, but it’s also very much a reflection of who I am in the moment.
The other day I wrote a really wordy bio that I ended up moving to my Words page. It explains a lot about me and my creative approach, but it’s light on the gratitude.
For now, I’d much rather express my deepest thanks to you for coming to my website and spending time with my photos and words. We have precious little time in this life and the fact that you’re here means a lot to me.
Thank you for being here.
